#3 - Acquire a full or part time job at a cheese store/winery

Technically, I already did my stint at a winery prior to moving to Boston.
And technically, I've had a part time job in wine since last year, but I waited until now to actually write about it (wanted to see if I was going to keep it up or not).

I'm very lucky in the sense that I make great friends who make great connections.  My friend Ellen, who did some of the wine classes with me at BU, landed herself a part time gig working as a wine consultant for The Tasting Company last year and introduced me to the woman who owns it, Jean Driver.  Brillant friend and brillant connection as Jean is a terrific person and a successful businesswoman, which I can admire greatly.  The job consists of pouring wine at local wine stores throughout the greater Boston area (and sometimes even further) and serving as a wine consultant to the customers.  What I admire most about Jean's company, other than Jean herself, is that everyone of us either has some formal education about wine or a really deep passion for learning more about wine.

This part time job is a bonus in helping to pay off some of my debt, but more importantly, in allowing me to exercise the knowledge I've gained ever since I decided to undertake this venture into wine.  So thank you Ellen for the connection and thank you Jean for giving me the opportunity!
